Enlit 2025 Recap: Insights for a Smarter Energy
27 November 2025

At ENLIT Europe 2025, a high-level energy forum, we arrived with a clear message: turning complexity into clarity. The response showed we hit the mark. Utilities are overloaded with data, fragmented systems, operational pressure, and rollout challenges — and the discussions at our stand confirmed that Thaora tackles these issues head-on.

Interest converged around three main areas:

1. Smart-meter rollout & meter-to-cash challenges

Countries are in different phases, from AMI 2.0 plans to first-wave rollouts. Mixed geographies, unstable connectivity, and device heterogeneity remain major blockers. A vendor- and network-agnostic approach like Thaora Consumption Intelligence clearly resonated.

2. Grid digitalization & MV/LV visibility

DSOs still lack insight into MV/LV networks, while ageing infrastructure forces heavier investment. Thaora Distribution Intelligence gained strong interest because it supports both new digital substations and existing ones upgraded with aftermarket sensors under one single dashboard, hence giving DSOs practical, scalable visibility.

3. Non-Technical Loss (NTL) analytics

NTL turned out to be the real curiosity driver. Many visitors weren’t aware where fraud actually peaks or how combining NTL, rollout data, and consumption intelligence drastically improves detection vs. isolated ERP processes. High-accuracy detection, fewer false positives, and faster triage stood out as key benefits.

On top of that, we held productive meetings with customers, new prospects, and potential technology partners — leading to concrete follow-ups, demos, and collaboration opportunities.

ENLIT highlighted a steady shift toward data-driven and intelligent grid operations, reflecting the same priorities we focused on while building Thaora.

Clarity starts with knowing what’s next.

The world doesn’t slow down, so neither do we. Insights, stories, and updates from the front lines of data, energy, and digital transformation, minus the buzzwords and empty promises.
